Seven-Week Beginner's Dance Session

Learn the ancient art of women's dance. Become uniquely more beautiful, regardless of your figure or age. Become sensual, powerful, and alluring. Allow even your smallest gesture to become compelling. Integrate your "internal energy" with your everyday life. In a seven-week introductory course with Alay'nya, you will learn a new way to "be in" your body. You will become more dynamic; more elegant and sensual at the same time. (In just the first class, you'll learn "body presentation" secrets that will make you look as though you've lost ten pounds!) By the end of seven weeks, you will have mastered a simple dance. You will also move more confidently, more gracefully, and more beautifully. You will tap into a "new you," accessing new energy from within.

Regular Beginner's Seven-Week Session:

• Keys to youthful body presentation - The "seven secrets" - How to look more gorgeous -- instantly!
• Easing away tension - Special bellydance-unique methods for neck and shoulder tension release.
• Your hands tell the story - Secrets of elegant, graceful hand movements.
• Essential dance moves - From percussive and exciting to slow and sensual.
• Getting "rhythm" - How to recognize typical dance rhythms -- and know what to do with them.
• Add dramatic accents - How to make your dance more exciting using zills (metal finger cymbals -- included with your course fee).
• Costuming tips and techniques - How to create a low-cost (but gorgeous!) dance costume that will flatter your figure and personality. (A special group shopping trip to the area's best belly dance supply store will be scheduled for a Saturday or Sunday timeframe during the six-week session.)
• Create mystery - How to create mood and mystery with a veil -- veiling and unveiling for drama, mystery, and excitement!.
• Your first dance - A simple dance choreography that you can perform with dance friends, or for a "private audience" at home.
• Out on the floor - How to take your dance moves from classroom to ballroom or club scene -- what works!

P.S. After successful completion of this Belly Dance: Beginner's Session course, you will be eligible to join ongoing regular classes. Depending on enrollment, your class may transition to a regular Advanced Beginner's class.
