Troupe Seraband

A unique blend of mystery and excitement! Compelling choreographies and an innovative multimedia / multicultural artistic vision highlight Troupe Seraband's emergence as a new semi-professional performance troupe serving the Greater Washington DC Metro area, with focus on Northern Virginia just outside the Washington DC Beltway.

Troupe membership is invitational, and dancers are committed to developing both troupe repertoire as well as individual solos. The Troupe performs works using elements with  Mediterranean, Mid-Eastern, and African origins.

Troupe Seraband made its Washington, DC area debut performance at "Honor Your Mother" - A Spring Concert of Dance, May 4th at the Casablanca.

Women's Retreats

Women's Retreats -

Demonstration, Instruction, and Try-It-On!

In just one session, how can you do something different, memorable, and with life-long benefits? By having a special group event where you “try on” belly dance for just an hour and a half.

Alay’nya will teach you and your group members how to:

  • Release stress and build vigor with ages-old women’s dance movements
  • Create energy and excitement with ancient pelvic movements while wearing coin-laden colorful hip sashes
  • Connect with their inner mystery using veils.

Alay’nya will bring with her a collection of veils, hip sashes, and other costume items, as well as drums and tambourines to your gathering! She will teach you a simple and easy group women’s dance; the kind of dance that you can remember and do together at your future events. (Free written instructions provided.) Alay’nya will also be available for questions and answers with your group members.

Connect with your ancient women’s heritage, do belly dance, have belly laughs, and an overall great time! This is perfect for women’s study groups, women’s retreats, and bridal showers.

To book a women’s event with Alay’nya, contact her manager, Mr. Briggs, at: mrbriggs@alaynya.com.
