Troupe Seraband D.C. Debut - "Honor Your Mother" - A Spring Concert of Dance - May 4th, 2003 - Casablanca

The Troupe Seraband made its Washington, DC area debut performance at "Honor Your Mother" - A Spring Concert of Dance, May 4th at the Casablanca. "Honor Your Mother" was a full-length dance concert with a dinner buffet. 

Featured performances included:

  • World Premiere - Troupe Seraband in "Ya Habibi Ya Eini"
  • Opening Vignette for "Temple" (a work in progress; premiering November 2005) - Aziza and Annakiya
  • North American Premiere - Natasha and Lucy performing African Dance - recently arrived from Zambia
  • Invited Solo - "Veil Dance" - by Maha Najeeb, Senior Soloist with Troupe Seraband
  • Invited Solo - Guest Artist Kamaria, from Maryland
  • Special Invited Guest-of-Honor - Eleanor Erakovic, from Australia
  • World Premiere - Alay’nya in "Phoenix"
