"Static Principles"- with The Alay'nya Studio During your first several weeks with the Alay'nya Studio, you will learn a set of basic "static principles" that will help you be in your body in a new - and absolutely gorgeous - new way! The advantages of learning and applying these principles will help you in all areas of your life, and be useful as long as you live. The immediate benefits to you are that you will:
STATIC PRINCIPLES Alay'nya has spent over thirty years studying martial arts, yoga, and mind-body integration methods in addition to dance techniques. These principles are distilled from extensive study with leading masters, and from her personal research and investigations. Over more than fifteen years of teaching has helped Alay'nya narrow these down to the most important methods that will give the most rapid benefit to your overall life and health, as well as improving your dance performance. By learning, studying, and incorporating these "static principles," along with the "dynamic" ones that you will learn in later classes, you will look far better than your "peer group" -- and you will also learn much faster! You will look as though you've been doing dance for years, when you've only been studying for months, and you will look as though you've been studying for months, when you have only been learning for several weeks. You will receive detailed instruction, "kinesthetic visualizations," and personal feedback and assistance in class. All following classes will review and incorporate the principles you have just learned, to help you integrate and use each principle with the others. For each principle, you will also receive a special in-class handout that you can use to help refresh your memory during your personal practice. The five basic Static Principles are:
