WHO WE ARE

A unique blend of mystery and excitement! Compelling choreographies and an innovative multimedia / multicultural artistic vision highlight Troupe Seraband's emergence as a new semi-professional performance troupe serving the Greater Washington DC Metro area, with focus on Northern Virginia just outside the Washington DC Beltway.

The Troupe Seraband made its Washington, DC area debut performance at "Honor Your Mother" - A Spring Concert of Dance, in a recent May show at the Casablanca. "Honor Your Mother" was a full-length dance concert with a dinner buffet.

Do you want to join the Troupe?

Troupe membership is invitational, and dancers are committed to developing both troupe repertoire as well as individual solos. The Troupe performs works using elements with  Mediterranean, Mid-Eastern, and African origins.

FRIENDS

Do you want to be our "friend"? We like to make friends with people who:

  • Play music (we like all authentic Mid-Eastern musical forms, particularly drums, oud, ney),
  • Dance - classical Danswe Orientale, Tribal, Rom (Gypsy), and other forms,
  • Make costumes,
  • Get involved with stage set-up, set design, and doing technical, and
  • Who otherwise enjoy putting together fun events and performances.
